Ukkohalla Tourist Centre is situated in Kainuu’s highest hilly landscapes amongst the area’s fish-rich brooks, rivers and lakes. Ukkohalla’s surroundings have already provided an adventurous arena for hunting and fishing trips for decades – but only for local residents. Now you, too, can enjoy its natural treasures!

The region’s nature offers hunters a decent catch. Willow grouse, hares, geese and other kinds of aquatic birds can be caught by everyone having a hunting licence for State lands. If you wish to join an elk hunt in the forest, you can do so by means of the local hunting clubs.
