Cross-country skiing
The magnificent surroundings of
Ukkohalla feature excellent routes for skiers of various skill levels.
Appropriate conditions are found from the area for both traditional and
‘skating’ styles: considerable quantities of snow in addition to
well-maintained ski-tracks within the scenic area of the slope centre
extending a total of 160 kilometres. There are almost 8 kilometres of
illuminated tracks.
The most important thing at Ukkohalla, however, is to raise your gaze
above the tip of your skis – because at times the scenery is simply
breathtaking.
All routes in the area are well-marked and regularly maintained.
Alongside the ski tracks, there are rest stops at suitable intervals
together with campfire sites for taking a break, warming up and having a
bite to eat.
